Tonight, last year’s NBA champions will visit the Dubs in the bay for a Western Conference showdown. The Nuggets have been on fire again lately, with their only loss in their last eight games coming to a very strong Thunder team. Last game, the Nuggets defeated the Charlotte Hornets with no sweat on New Year’s day, in what was a bit of a quiet game for former MVP Nikola Jokic. Paul hasn’t had over 7.5 assists since five games ago against a lesser Trail Blazers team, and this Nuggets defense will likely do their best to contain the aging point guard.
Paul has said it himself that he’s willing to take on a lesser role with the Warriors, which may be best for the team. However, we do not believe he will have more than seven assists tonight against the Nuggets.
